Two new Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ships embarked on a two-day joint towing exercise in Manila Bay.
According to the PCG, the crews of BRP Teresa Magbanua and BRP Melchora Aquino participated in the emergency towing, selection of the correct towing line and proper arrangement of the towing lines.
He said it’s important for crews to learn the proper way to do emergency towing to avoid problems.
Through this, the capacity of these new ships will also be measured.
This towing exercise started yesterday and will last until today.
