This year has been a bit hit and miss when it comes to sitting in the garden, hasn’t it? I know we just entered June, but I definitely would have liked to see more sun now.
Especially so I can get out my favorite patio furniture and decor items and do some garden styling!
I’m always a little late to the party when it comes to looking for garden furniture and decor and this year is no exception.
Mainly because we haven’t had a garden to speak of since we renovated the back of our house and it currently looks like a construction site. Excitingly though, we just got our deck installed and can’t wait to tidy up the rest of the garden.
You would think after writing a blog post about garden trends for 2022 that I would have spruced up. But not.
It would seem that most of you have already bought your garden pieces for this year if I have seen the number of “sold out” messages while searching for garden things on numerous websites.
However, if you are as disorganized as I am, I was still able to find some gems that are in stock!
Garden furniture and decoration are in high demand
Gardens have become such an important part of our home in recent years. This has meant that getting hold of garden furniture has become an ever-increasing challenge.
Many major brands have risen to the challenge and garden and outdoor products have become their main feature in the spring/summer.
Stores like Aldi and Dunelm now have a wide outdoor range catering to all gardens, big and small.
This is what caught my attention in the last few days.
The Redoute
La Redoute has to be one of my favorite homeware brands and their garden furniture and décor products do not disappoint.
A bit like their housewares, their outdoor living range focuses heavily on natural materials – rattan, jute and wicker – mixed with beautiful garden accessories.
One of my favorite items has to be this Verona Acacia & Resin Garden Armchair. With its low seat and diamond weave, it is the perfect garden furniture to relax with a good book and G&T.
- Mela Acacia garden dining set £341.25 – perfect for that rustic look in your garden
- Fanosa 18cm Outdoor Lantern £13.50 – contemporary lantern to brighten up the nights
- Lazio 2 seater garden bistro set £399.20 – Extremely popular rope style bistro set
- Fleur glass carafe £27.55 – don’t let your crockery let you down
- Calamus rattan armchair £243.65 – Create a Mediterranean flair with elegant rattan armchairs
- 2-in-1 smoker barbecue £136 – can’t afford the infamous egg barbecue? try this instead
- Cosiscoop Black Fire Lantern £94.05 – Why should fire pits be all the fun?
- Amezza Acacia & Canvas Sun Lounger £81.00 – If it’s sunny this year I know where I’d like to lounge
- Posy £36 fringed polycotton hammock – a bargain at this price
H&M Home
H&M follows closely behind La Redoute when it comes to the title of my favorite High Street Store. I love the relaxed vibe of their products and their location and style shots always make me want more!
You know I was talking earlier about how garden furniture and décor items are selling like hot cakes these days?
Pretty much everything garden-related is out of stock on the H&M Home site, but I managed to pick out a few items that are still in stock.
Bass
Matalan has a range called Ibiza Trend and it’s right up my street! Including lots of wicker (again) and shades of blue, it immediately transports you to the Mediterranean.
- Tie Dye Tassel Bolster outdoor cushion €8: start with the calming blues of Ibiza
- Outsunny Acacia Wood Garden Lounger £140 – Put your lounger in place for some serious sunbathing
- Pack of 2 natural woven placemats £10 – simply place them on your Mediterranean salad
- Large Bell Lantern £28 – No excuse to go inside after dark with these large lanterns
- Buddha head planter £8 – all you need is a fern or succulent or use as a planter for tableware
- Outsunny Rope Hammock Swing Chair £55 – swing all your troubles
Aldi
Aldi has completely upped its garden furniture game in recent years with keen interior and garden enthusiasts waiting until midnight to be the first to buy its best items.
Does anyone remember the crazy fight to get their egg chairs back in 2019? We still love ours.
Aldi has a fabulous range of rope effect garden furniture this year and the most coveted item in its outdoor living section? His version of the Egg BBQ. I have yet to convince the husband that we NEED one.
dunelm
With a Dunelm store just around the corner from our house, it has always been a firm favorite for me when we need something for our home.
I have seen Dunelm become a high street for home goods in recent years and their garden furniture and décor items have grown strongly.
- Kubic 2 seater balcony set £329 – multiple ways to sunbathe, these seats slide apart to give you many different ways to enjoy the sun
- Elements Industrial Metal Black Solar Pendant £35 – Hang them from your trees or pergola. The perfect way to illuminate your garden at night.
- Large fire pit with log tent Black £129 – does what it says on the tin
- Sulu hanging basket with rattan effect and support €19: it’s all in the details. I love how the stand also incorporates a rattan design.
- Ibiza 5 seater corner sofa set €799 – Just add a black fence
- Moretti Circle Outdoor Rug £38.50 – The no-rug terrace feels, well, bare!
- Pretty Boho Pink Large Wooden Plate £8.50 – Be the envy of your dinner guests
- Gothic black stone outdoor mirror £119 – adding mirrors to your garden makes them feel bigger
- San Marino 2 seater bistro set £299 – so pretty I’d have them indoors and out!
Marks and Spencer
It was an email from M&S that started this blog post when I was drawn to their cute and practical outdoor cushions. Marks and Spencer’s is the perfect place to get your garden accessories.
houses of the world
Maisons du Monde wouldn’t be the first brand you would turn to when looking for garden furniture and décor, but they have an amazing range of products that live up to the MDM name!
They go fast though, so I’d buy without delay…
George at Asda
With 20% off their outdoor range right now, it would be rude not to mention George Home. With their already low prices, these items are truly a bargain!
George Home has a habit of decorating properly, I always go to the store to buy home accessories and every year, their garden furniture and accessories sell out fast. Here are some of my favorite pieces.
That’s all folks. Did you find something you liked?
If I had a bigger garden, I’d be squeezing everything from this blog post. But for now, I’ll focus on laying out the patio and lawn and start the exciting part of filling it with accessories next month.
