

ANUGERAH ILHAM DESA 2020 is a program recommended by the Ministry of Outer City Development through the Village Progress Institute (INFRA).
The AID 2020 award event had to be postponed to 2021 due to the Covid 19 pandemic that hit Malaysia and has been postponed until December 22, 2021.
At AID 2020, 6 villages will compete to win lucrative prizes. More interestingly, the town that had been champion before in the years 2000 – 2015 also participated in this award.
Among the villages that became AID 2020 finalists are two villages in Peninsular Malaysia/West Malaysia, namely Kampung Kilim in Langkawi, Kedah, which became champion in 2009, and Kampung Peruas in Raub, Pahang, which became in champion in 2013.
The other 4 towns are Kampung Batu Puteh, Kinabatangan, Sabah who became champion in 2003, Kampung Sinisian, Kundasang, Sabah who became champion in 2007, Kampung Long Bedian, Marudi, Sarawak who became champion in 2001 and the Last runner up is from Kampung Lubuk Temiang, Labuan, who became champion in 2011.
“Creative Community, Innovative People” is the theme of AID 2020, where each village will highlight projects, projects inspired by villagers using their creativity and innovation.
The projects will be evaluated through the criteria for the development of systematic records of project management and the sustainability of the projects in the face of various future challenges.
The evaluation panel is made up of officials from KPLB, KEMAS and KPLB agencies. The project that is evaluated the most highlights the creativity and innovation in the project and the greatest impact for the entire town in economic and social terms of the residents will win the championship this time.
The prizes awaiting the AID 2020 finalists are as follows;
FIRST PLACE – RM30,000 cash with certificate and trophy attached
SECOND PLACE – RM20,000 cash with certificate and trophy attached
THIRD PLACE – RM10,000 cash with attached certificate and trophy
4th TO 6th PLACE – RM4000 cash with certificate and trophy
This AID was created to give appreciation and recognition to KPLB to the residents who make the effort to develop the local economy and society through creative, innovative and high-impact projects.
The AID 2020 program also featured the appearance of a specialist speaker in the field of innovation who was specially brought in from Zull Design Autotronic, namely En. Muhammad Asif bin Zulkifli as Zull Autotronic Design Executive Project. He will give a talk on the power of creativity in business that can produce millionaire entrepreneurs.
In fact, AID is also seen as a catalyst for the efforts of the villagers to increase economic activity and at the same time generate income for the villagers through the economic projects that are guided.
