Gandhinagar: Abdasa BJP MLA Pradhyumansinh Jadeja met with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on the demands of various developments in Nakhatrana and Abdasa in Kutch.

He demanded to give municipality status to the city of Nakhatrana in his constituency. The population and expansion of Nakhatrana, he said, has increased after the 2001 earthquake. New societies and residential areas have emerged. Nakhatrana is a gram panchayat today. It is the largest gram panchayat in Kutch district and has 20 districts. Nakhatrana’s township status will help get sufficient grant for the development of gutters, roads and water, the MLA said while appearing before the Chief Minister.

The MLA also called for a bypass road to solve the traffic problems in Nakhatrana. He said that the Bhuj-Lakhpat road passes through Nakhatrana and traffic has increased on this road due to Mata Na Madh lignite mine, Umarsar lignite mine, salt works near Haji Pir, etc. Furthermore, the MLA has also demanded a town hall in Nakhatrana.
