

On his birthday, Gautam Adani and his family pledged to donate 60 billion rupees for social causes.
Industrialist Gautam Adani is currently celebrating his 60th birthday and wishes are flowing from everywhere. At the event, Mr. Adani, the richest person in Asia and the chairman and founding father of the Adani Group, received a particularly unique note connected to a flashback photo of his wife Priti Adani.
Sharing a black and white photo of her husband on Twitter, Priti Adani recalled their journey together. “Over 36 years ago, I left my career and started a new journey with Gautam Adani. As we speak, once I look back, it is only with immense respect and pleasure for the person that he is. On his 60th birthday, I pray for his well-being and that he appreciates all of his wishes,” she said in the tweet.

On his birthday, Mr. Adani and his family also pledged to donate Rs 60,000 crore for various social causes.
Sharing the announcement on Twitter, Mr. Adani said, “On the 100th anniversary of our father’s birth and my 60th birthday, the Adani family is pleased to allocate 60,000 crs in charity for health care, education and development. skills development across India. Contribution to help build an equitable and future-ready India. (sic)”

According to an announcement from the Adani Group, the corpus will likely be managed by Adani Basis. The funds will likely be used in the health care, training and capacity building sectors, and may be aimed at tackling obstacles in the way of an “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
“Adani Basis has gained a wealth of experience working with communities focused on integrated improvement efforts in all of these areas. Addressing these challenges can greatly improve the competency and competitiveness of our future workforce.”
Gautam Adani is ranked eighth in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He is currently the richest person in Asia with an internet worth of $91.7 billion.
