Here’s a quick breakdown and index of The Flash TV series.
The plot of The Flash might seem a bit boring if you’ve read the comics before. However, once you start watching the show, things perk up and take an exciting turn.
As we said, The Flash series follows the life of Barry Allen. Allen works as a forensic assistant at a crime scene. However, on a good day, he is struck by lightning during the storm caused by a working accelerator at STAR Labs.
After being struck by lightning, Barry remains in a coma for 9 long months and then wakes up at the STAR Labs headquarters. He was placed under the care of Harrison Wells who is the founder of the lab.
The series switches between the past and the present situation where Barry is constantly noticing different kinds of flashbacks about Joe.
However, shortly after Barry discovers his superpowers, he uses them for the benefit of the people around him. He uses his power to stop people from committing petty crimes. However, in the process, he begins to notice the side effects of the power he is using.
During one of his work assignments investigating a murder mystery, Barry realizes that the killer is also like a metahuman. He realizes that the person involved in the murder might have the ability to control poisonous gases.
Upon the find, Barry is helped by Joe and soon sets out to find the killer and find ways with Wells to reverse these mutations that these metahumans are causing on Earth.
In the process of understanding the implications of the superpowers, Wells has Barry perform different types of tasks at high speed to test the effectiveness of the superpowers. During such a stunt, Barry finds himself in the middle of a crime where a gang of men come together to hijack a truck full of diamonds. Somehow Barry manages to be at the scene of the crime and stop it.
The first step then carries over to the next ones, where Barry’s story stretches through different situations, crime scenes, and many twists and turns along the way. The show has been well received by the audience; hence, it has managed to release a season every year since its official premiere.
