
WARTABANJAR.COM, JAKARTA – The General Election Commission (KPU), on Tuesday (6/14/2022), announced the stages of the 2024 General Election, at the KPU RI Office, Central Jakarta.
The schedule of the electoral stages has been approved by the government, DPR RI and the electoral institutions in Regulation Number 3 of 2022 of the General Election Commission (PKPU) on June 9, 2022.
KPU RI Commissioner Mochammad Afifudin emphasized that the PKPU was the result of mutual agreement between the government, DPR RI and related electoral institutions.
“Of course, this is within the framework of the work that has been consulted, in collaboration with Commission II and other organizing parties such as Bawaslu,” he said.
The following are the stages and schedule of the 2024 General Election based on PKPU No. 3 Year 2022
June 14, 2022 – June 14, 2024 : Preparation and Planning of Electoral Programs and Budgets
October 14, 2022 – June 21, 2023 : Updating of voter data and compilation of voter lists
July 29 – December 13, 2022 : Registration and verification of electoral participants
December 14, 2022 : Determination of the participants in the elections
14 October 2022 – 9 February 2023 : Determination of the number of seats and determination of electoral districts
December 6, 2022 – November 25, 2023 : Appointment of members of the DPD
April 24 – November 25, 2023 : Nomination of members of DPR, Provincial DPRD, Regency/Municipal DPRD
19 October – 25 November 2023 : Candidates for President and Vice President
28 November 2023 – 10 February 2024 : Election campaign period
11 – 13 February 2024 : Time of silence
February 14, 2024 : 2024 election vote
February 14 – 15, 2024 : Vote count
February 15 – March 20, 2024 : Recap of the results of the vote count
Determination of the results of the elections (no later than 3 days after the notification of the Constitutional Court or 3 days after the decision of the Constitutional Court)
October 1, 2024 : Taking the DPR and DPD Oath/Pledge
