A man in his 20s was arrested after stabbing his wife and mother-in-law in an incident in Chabang Empat, Tumpat yesterday afternoon.
Tumpat District Police Chief ACP Deputy Commissioner Amran Dolah said the suspect stabbed his wife and mother-in-law after a misunderstanding between the suspect and his wife.
“At 6:35pm yesterday, the Tumpat District Police Headquarters received a report regarding the incident of causing serious injury by using a weapon to two Malaysian women who were the wife and mother-in-law of the suspect, which caused the two victims to be stabbed. with two knives.
“The two victims, who are in their 20s and 60s respectively, were taken to Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital, Kota Bharu for examination,” he said in a statement, Astro AWANI reported.
Amran said the results of the initial examination by the doctor found that the first victim had suffered cracks and injuries to his head, two broken fingers and injuries to various parts of his body.
Meanwhile, the second victim suffered head injuries as a result of being stabbed by the suspect.
In the operation to locate the suspect, the police received a report this morning that there was a man who wanted to jump from the 28th floor of a building under construction in Lembah Sireh, Kota Bharu.
According to Amran, his party managed to arrest the man and the verification results found that the man was a suspect in the case of stabbing his wife and mother-in-law.
“Police arrested the suspect, who works as a truck driver.
“The results of the control also showed that the suspect had three records related to drugs and the case was investigated in accordance with article 326 of the Penal Code,” he explained.
