BENGUET — Authorities here spearheaded another major marijuana eradication operation on Wednesday, June 22.
Police searched two separate plantations at Sitio Lanipew, Tacadang, Kibungan, where vast clandestine cannabis farms were discovered.
Burned by the police, they reached a total of 880 fully developed Marijuana plants at the two sites, 1,600 pieces of Marijuana Seedlings and 4 kilos of marijuana stems with an estimated value of P848,000.00.
“There were no growers present during the successive operations. But authorities are prepared to do a follow-up investigation into it. I am sure that the operation served as a warning to those who are involved in this illegal line of business,” said Lt. General PNP OIC Vicente Danao Jr. (ai/mtvn)
