My God, these January 6 committee hearings are turning out to be the political equivalent of digging for gold and accidentally finding oil.
Everything is coming to light around donald trump and his role in trying to overturn the 2020 election. And that includes the behavior of the sketchy characters who have been fawning over him all this time.
Of course, we are talking this time about matt gaetz, who, frankly, has much bigger problems to worry about than getting caught trying to thwart our democracy. I mean, legally anyway.
The Florida congressman is currently facing possible child sex trafficking charges after allegedly paying for sex with a 17-year-old (at one of many girl-populated sex parties) and then taking her across state lines. The evidence alone that we’ve heard about is pretty bad, but your friend Joel Greenberg he continues to delay his sentencing, something experts believe is a sign he is cooperating with prosecutors to build his case against associates. It doesn’t help Gaetz’s position in the court of public opinion that he has hired one of Jeffrey Epsteinthe lawyers of . Yes.

OK, so what does this have to do with January 6th? Well, on Thursday the committee heard from members of the Trump White House about members of Congress who allegedly asked for pardons for helping Trump nullify the election.
Nevertheless, Cassidy Hutchinsonformer assistant to the White House chief of staff mark meadows, testified before the committee on Thursday that Gaetz had actually been contacting the White House for a last minute pardon before Trump lost power since December 2020, even before it happened on January 6! And he was looking for a broader type of immunity.
Former Senior White House Advisor Eric Herschman corroborated the claim, saying that the “overall tone” of Gaetz’s request was about the election, very, “we could be prosecuted because we were on the defensive, you know, the president’s positions on these things.”
But Herschmann explained that the pardon Gaetz was actually asking for would have covered crimes that had nothing to do with the insurrection!
“The forgiveness that he was discussing, requesting, was as broad as could be described, from… I remember him saying, ‘from the beginning of time to this day, for anything and everything.’”
Say oh! My God, I just wanted a pardon for EVERYTHING! And yes, that would include child sex trafficking.
Take a look at the various testimonials against Gaetz (below)!

Apparently responding to the testimony, Gaetz took Twitter on Thursday, criticizing the committee and implying that he faced political persecution:
“The January 6 Committee is an unconstitutional political spectacle. He is rapidly losing the interest of the American people and is now resorting to harassing federal law enforcement against political opponents.”
Seeing the complaint, several Twitter politicians could not help but respond:
I beg your pardon?
