Capcom recently announced that sales of Resident Evil Village have reached 6.1 million units worldwide. The information is disclosed through a financial report.

The report reveals further growth of the title, as we know, as of October 2021, Resident Evil Village sales had passed the 5 million unit mark worldwide. This figure includes both digital and physical sales.

Capcom claims that sales of the title have remained steady thanks to purchases of digital versions of the game.

Additionally, Resident Evil Village entered Capcom’s Platinum list of titles in December 2021. While the list has not been updated to reflect financial reports, Resident Evil Village trails behind Street Fighter V.

That said, the title’s more consistent sales may see it start to slowly climb the list, mainly thanks to the presence of DLC content planned for release in the title. However, information on what the DLC looks like is still scarce and hard to find.

Beyond its initial announcement in June 2021, Capcom has not shared any information about the possible DLC. But what is clear, Capcom did reveal that the DLC content will appear around 2022.

Resident Evil Village can be played on various platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. Have you tried the game yourself?
