While narrating an anecdote, Kumar Sanu recounted that “Once I went to do a show in Patna. I sang some songs, which people liked very much. After this I saw some people sitting out front with AK47s and shooting whatever song they wanted. There were already 6-7 holes in the tent. Ignoring all this, I sang the song ‘Main Duniya Bhula Dega’, and as soon as I started singing the second song, the armed men came and said who stopped the song. this is my favorite song. I was intoxicated. Sanu Ji said to me, recite this song for me, you have to sing this song for us. After hearing this I got scared, I said brother, I’m singing you another song.

Kumar Sanu further explains, “Even after all my efforts, those people didn’t listen and started saying we want the same song (I’ll forget the world). And he started showing me the gun. In doing so, I again began to sing ‘Main Duniya Bhula Dega’. I sang this song 16 times that day. Then all of them came on stage with weapons and started singing. Seeing the deteriorated atmosphere, I hurried out onto the side road and stayed at a nearby hotel. After this, the shooting continued until 5 in the morning.
With this, Kumar Sanu shared another anecdote. He said that when he performed on the train tracks for the first time and also in front of a mafia gang, his father did not like it at all. He said that “My debut performance was on the train tracks.
Where I was asked to sing some Hindi songs in front of a mafia gang and about 20,000 people were present at the time. I sang the dar-dar ke song and also danced, luckily that gang liked it too. But when my father, who comes from a conservative background, found out about this, he slapped me and said that is not a way to sing.”
